Religion in Indore With 80.18% adhering to Hinduism as the predominant faith, Indore city ranks Hinduism first when it comes to its population religions and Islam second with 14.09% following it; Christianity is practiced by 0.65% while Jainism, Sikhism Buddhism are practiced respectively by 3.25 % 3.19 % 1.51 and 0.55 percent of residents while another small fraction (3%) identify with other faiths. In contrast, approximately 2.21 percent don’t identify as any particular belief system at all.

Indore is a city of religious diversity. Hinduism is the predominant religion, followed by Islam, Jainism, and Christianity. This diversity is reflected in the city’s languages, with Hindi being the most widely spoken, along with Marathi, Urdu, and Gujarati.
